About Jan-Christian Petersen

Born in 1979. Self-taught. Works as a poet, writer, cultural mediator, journalist, and designer. Individual poems translated into up to six languages. (Including Welsh and Frisian.) Well-traveled. Lived in Berlin, London, Paris. Published journalistic articles in newspapers and (specialist) magazines. Presents his text art at exhibitions and readings.
Committed to international friendships through cultural exchange, to actively remembering Liberation Day on May 8, and to the preservation of minority cultures (in exile). Many collaborations, including with the Körber Foundation, the Heinrich Böll Foundation, the Society for Threatened Peoples, and the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
